
Terms of Engagement – Payment & Booking
Payment and Booking Policy
To secure your trip, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. This confirms your place and agreement to the terms below. The remaining balance is due before the trip commences.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
14 Days or More: If you need to cancel 14 or more days out, I’ll do my best to re-fill the date. If I can’t, 25% of your deposit will be retained.
Within 7 Days: Cancellations within 7 days of your trip will see 50% of your deposit retained.
Within 72 Hours: Cancelling within 72 hours means the full trip total is forfeited, with no refund.
No-Show: If you don’t turn up on the day, the full trip total is forfeited.
Weather & Safety: Trips don’t get cancelled for general rain or wind. Only if conditions are deemed unsafe by me (James Barwick, trading as Snowy Valleys Fly Fishing) will a trip be postponed or cancelled. If this happens, I’ll offer you a new date, or a refund if we can’t make it work.
Illness or Unforeseen Circumstances: If something unexpected comes up, just let me know as soon as you can. Wherever possible, I’ll work with you to reschedule your trip or transfer your booking to a later date.
Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available and are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.
Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refund or refuse a booking at any point before a trip starts if inappropriate behaviour or actions are displayed.
A Final Note
I approach every trip with fairness and compassion — I know life can throw curveballs, and I’ll always try to work with you when it does. At the same time, guiding is my livelihood, and I can’t afford to be walked over. These terms are here to make sure things are fair for both of us, while still getting you out on the water for a memorable experience.
